DAY 1: Cusco - Cachora - Chiquisqa

At 6:00 a.m. we will pick you up to start the journey to the town of Cachora. Along the way we stop for a moment to view from the bus, the Tarawasi archaeological remains, and then continue to the Cunyac Bridge between the Cusco and Apurimac regions, passing by the districts of Curawasi and Saywite to finally reach Cachora at approx. 10:00am. From here we will start our walk through a gently sloping path leading to the Capuliyoc pass (2,800 m.a.s.l.), where we stop for lunch after 2 hours of walking, and then we will head to Chiquisqa village (1,930 m.a.s.l.). The rest of the journey is downhill with spectacular scenery and warm weather. Our day ends when we reach our first campsite.


DAY 2: Chiquisqa - Playa Rosalina - Sunchupata

After breakfast (5:00 a.m.), we will continue hiking towards Playa Rosalina (1,550 m.a.s.l.), then climb up the hill in the early morning heading to Santa Rosa (2,100 m.a.s.l.) where our lunch will be ready. After lunch, is hardest leg of the trip, taking about 3 hours to climb to Maranpata (2,850 m.a.s.l.). Here the land has a gentle slope, providing sweeping views which allow you to see all the way from which where we came on the first day. In Maranpata you will enjoy the surrounding vegetation before continuing onward for 2 hours to Sunchupata, our campsite for the night.


DAY 3: Sunchupata - Choquequirao - Chiquisqa

After an early breakfast (5:00 a.m.) we will go to Choquequirao, which is a 1 hour walk before sunrise, we will visit this site for 3 hours, always accompanied by the guide who will explain about this important Inca refuge. At the scheduled time, we will begin the return downwards to Santa Rosa, where our lunch is waiting for us. From here we hike for approximately 1 hour down to Playa Rosalina,  then walk another 2 hours to Chiquisqa where we camp for the night.


DAY 4: Chiquisqa - Capuliyaoc - Cachora - Cusco

At 6:00 a.m., after a good breakfast in Chiquisqa, we start our return, hiking 2 hours through the Capuliyoc viewpoint, from here we have 2 more hours to Cachora village which is a much smoother trail, arriving about 12:00 p.m. On the way we will appreciate exotic wildlife and breathtaking views of snow- capped mountains and the impressive Apurimac canyon. In the afternoon we will travel to the hot springs of Cconoq where we rest for about an hour before returning to Cusco at approximately 8:00 p.m. where we end our services.
