DAY 01: Arrival in Lima
Arrival in Peru 's capital Lima, reception at the airport by the travel agency representative who will welcome you and make the corresponding transfer to a selected hotel. Overnight in Lima
DAY 02: Lima / City Tour
We start with a great breakfast to continue with a city tour of Lima where we will visit the most important and characteristic of Lima, with their typical features of the colonial time, such as the Main Square, Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, City Hall, Train Station (Abandoned), old streets and Classic Colonial mansions and Moorish balconies, then we will take a tour of the Church of San Francisco with its majestic convent, Museum of Arts and Catacombs.
Leaving Lima Antigua, we will go to San Isidro and Miraflores, to El Mirador or Parque del Amor which offer a contrast between ancient and modern Lima. And for lunch, have a typical buffet with food from the coast. Overnight in Lima.
DAY 03: Lima / Arequipa - City Tour (d)
We start with a big breakfast, airport transfers route to the city of Arequipa. Reception on arrival and transfer to accommodation.
In the afternoon, a city tour that includes a visit to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, this monastery is one of the most remarkable constructions of the city of Arequipa, its walls keeps 400-year history of the order of St. Catherine of Siena.
In the city center you can find many houses and churches that were built with Spanish style ashlar, white volcanic stone which gives them a distinctive style to the city.
Day 4: Arequipa / Colca Canyon ( d )
Very early after breakfast, we left the city of Arequipa taking the northern route towards Yura , the tour will visit the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca whre you can watch vicuñas, llamas and alpacas in the wild. In Pampa Cañahuas we see different types of birds as flamingos, herons, Andean geese , ducks , eagles of the Andes " kara kara". Then get the viewpoint of the volcano where we will have a privileged view of snow covered mountains in Patapampa ( m. 4800 -15 000 feet ).
We will arrive at the town of Chivay - capital of the valley - for lunch and will settle you into your accommodation. In the evening as an option we can visit the hot springs of " La Calera " with a temperature of 40 degrees and whose waters have medicinal properties. Overnight in Yanque or Chivay.
DAY 5: Chivay / Colca Canyon / Arequipa ( d )
After breakfast, we begin our journey along the left bank of the river Colca. Visit beautiful villages typical Yanque and Maca , colonial churches and have contact with people who still wears their typical costumes that they embroider themselves. In the tour we will see hundreds of platforms or pre-Inca terraces that are still used and where corn, quinoa, amaranth and others are grown.
In the viewpoint of the "Cruz del Condor" we appreciate the depth of the canyon and the flight of the majestic condor. After lunch, return to the city of Arequipa where we stay.
DAY 06: Arequipa / Cusco - City Tour ( d )
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Cusco.
Arrival to the magical city and transfer to a selected hotel. In the afternoon around 13:30 hours approx. Enjoy a guided tour of Cusco downtown, visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun Koricancha - Santo Domingo, and then go sightseeing in the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, returning to the city in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 07: Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas ( d , a)
After breakfast, we start at about 9 am and we will take a tour of the Sacred Valley in Urubamba for a panoramic view of the Inca citadel of Pisac. Then we will visit the typical Indian market of Pisac (only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), where we have the opportunity to learn about the customs of its people, then we will go to the City of Urubamba.
Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afternoon visit to the Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes of the jungle. It was a military, religious and cultural site during the Inca Empire.
In the way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero where the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui remains. Eventually return to Cusco where we overnight.
DAY 08: Cusco / Machu Picchu Excursion ( d , a)
After breakfast we will be headed to the train station, where we take the train to Aguas Calientes.
Our guide will be waiting to take us to the bus station, to ascend 400m high, by a zigzag path for 20 minutes to reach the amazing citadel of Machu Picchu, known as " The Lost City of the Incas”. Upon arrival visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower , the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries , which will take approximately two hours.
In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco, arriving at the train station, where agents will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco
DAY 09: Cusco / Lima - Departure (d)
Breakfast and transfer to airport for your flight to Lima and connect with your international flight.
